The Bunny Hop Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to this Fun Bunny Hop!  So Ready for Easter to be here!  I want to Thank Michelle Clayton Peak for invited me to be part of this hop.  I had so much fun making my two projects.  So If you are coming from Nicolette's blog ~ http://beyondscrapin.blogpot.com/, then you are in the right spot.  If not Please start at the Beginning at Michelle's blog ~ http://queenofmycraftroom.blogspot.com/ .  You don't want to miss any of the Great Projects on this hop.  So for my first project i wanted to make a card.  So I use these Super Great Stamps I purchased from Memory Lane Scrapbooking.  These are high quality wood mounted red rubber stamps.  I am so in love with them.  So here is my card, what do you think?

I used my copic markers to color in my image, and to make the grass.  I so loving using these markers.  after I colored the image I then took some stickles and colored in the spots on the egg.  I used my Glaze pens from Sakura to color in the Lazy Chicken.  I just love this Chic!!  Then I stamped some clouds on s scrap of white cardstock and cut out the clouds and adhered them with pop dots.  I then cut out a frame using my Nesting label cookie cutter from QuicKutz.  The base of the card is the gate fold technique.  I just can't get enough of this style of card.

For my second project, I wanted to share a small Easter Basket I made Last Year before I started blogging.  I thing the cartridge I used for the basket was a seasonal one for 2010, Think it was named Easter 2010.

Then I made a carrot treat box, now this cut was made using the silhouette, by a co-worker of mine.  So I don't know what the cut is named.

Any how there you have my two, oh wait!, that's actually three projects.  Okay so a scholoar I am not.  LOL!!

So I hope you enjoyed them. Remember I am doing a Super Big Giveaway at the end of the month for all of the hops I did this month. Just to remind you of what you could win, here is a quick pic of some, but not all of the items included in this Huge giveaway.  All you have to do the be entered into this Great giveaway is follow my blog and leave me a comment here.  Simple right?.

Lucky Leprechaun, St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  Hope you're feeling lucky today!  March is a very special month for me.  It's the month my Princess came into my life.  My life has never been the same since!  I am truly blesses and very LUCKY to have her in my life.  She keeps me grounded.  So for my project I decided to make a card using the Gate fold technique.  I'm sorry I don't have a link to the tutorial I used, but could not find it.  I will continue to look for it and post it at a later time.  So if you are coming from Scrapping Sista at http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.onescrappinsista.blogspot.com%2F&h=a4f22, then you are in the right place.  If not, please start at the beginning with Nicolette at http://www.beyondscrapin.blogspot.com/.  So here is my card, I love how it turned out.  I used the 3 Birds on parade cartridge and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.

I used the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing powder on the horse shoe to give it a rust look.  I then painted the shamrock with some Smooch Pearlized accent ink (apple).

I used pattern paper collection from Little Yellow Bicycle "Lucky Me".  This is the perfect line for this month.

For the inside sentiment I used a Hampton Art stamp.  Well I hope you all enjoyed this card.  So for my Giveaway, I am doing One Huge Giveaway for the month of March.  Here is a peek of what you could win:

All you have to do is be a follower of my blog and leave me a comment with an email, in case you are the winner.  Good Luck to everyone!  Now on to your next stop, which is Tiara at http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imacraftysista.blogspot.com%2F&h=a4f22.  Thanks for stopping by...

How to make an Album using a brown paper bag

Good morning everyone, Today I thought I would share with you a super fast and simple way I reuse my paper brown bags I get when I go Antique shopping.  You know which bags I am talking about.  Right?  LOL!!

Well a few weeks ago I was in a hop for Joy'sLife.com and the Joy wanted us to make a book, so I decided to use my paper bag and made it into a small book here are the step by steps in pictures. I am trying to purchase some good video equipment so I can start making videos, but for now this will have to do.

use a long reach stapler I purchased for hsn.com

Okay, just a quick little reminder when you go to staple your book, flip it to the outside cover and then staple.  That you your staple closures will be on the inside.  Some of you wanted to know how I did this, so that is why I did this.  If you have any questions, just leave me a comment and I will try to get back to you.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

How to make My Birthday Badge

So, I have to start by stating that this is not my original idea, I scrap lifted it from on latest Creating Keepsakes Magazine.  Saw it advertised and just had to recreate it.  So here is my take on it.  I used the following paper stack from DCWV  The Celebration Stack.  Which I really love!  Lots of Bright colors!!!  Very YUMMY!

I start with cutting two - 2in. strips of pattern paper.

Second, you will take your two strips, and score each strip every 1/2 in.

Third, you will start folding each score line, accordion style. ( Remember to start one strip with the first fold down and the second strip with the first fold up.  Hope that makes sense.)

after you have fold both strip you will connect one end to one strip and the other end to the other end.

You will end up with something like this;

Then you will punch out a circle, as far as size, just make sure it's big enough to fit on the back but not larger than your rosette.

Then I place the circle punch in the middle of your rosette.

Then you will place a large dot of glue, I use hot glue because it dries fast and that is what you need.  While the glue is still hot, you will gather the top edges of your rosette and push then downward and pressing then towards the center.  It's a little difficult at first but once you get it, it gets easier.  Hold the rosette flat until the glue dries.

Then you are done making your rosette.  Now it's time to embellish it.  So for this I just cut out several different sized circles .

Then I stamped the smallest one with Joy'sLife Stamps.

Then I added some bling, of course!!!

Then on the second smallest circle I added strips of ribbon to the back of the circle and looped them to give you a flower effect.

Then I glued it to my rosette, then I added the stamped sentiment.

Then I punched another circle and ran my ATG gun over one side of the circle then cut different styles and lengths of ribbon.  I then attached the ribbon to the sticky circle.  Then I hot glued the circle to the back of the rosette.

I then added the pin and clip to the back using hot glue once again.

And here is the finished Badge.
Just a little FYI, to make sure your pattern flows all around the rosette, cut strips from two of the same 12x12 pattern paper.  I did not do this on my first one so, as you can see the patterns are not the same.  So I made another one.

Well I hope you like them, and hope that you understood these instructions.  If you have any question feel free to email me at pattig161@yahoo.com  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Martha
