A Pocket Full of Memories Blog Hop Sept. 24-25, 2011

Good Morning, I am so happy you are able to hop along with us!!!  This hop, is full of wonderful little things!!!  Minis are my favorite thing to create.  they are super easy and a fun way to store a memorable weekend or just a fun time spent with family or friends.  So first off, I would like to thank Jess, for adding me to this hop.  If you are coming from  Linda's blog : www.myquillingnest.com , then you are in the right place, if not you will want to start at the beginning, with  Jessica: www.KinderStampO.com.  So for this hope we had to make a mini album with pockets.  Jessica, from KinderStampO shared with us this wonderful Trunk Box she made on UStream, sometime this week.  I just fell in love with it and was able to make it while I watched her video.  So Thank You Jessica for sharing this wonderful Trunk with us.  Since it was so easy to make I decided to make one for this hop.  All the stamps I used in this mini are from the Grungy Inspiration Stamp set available at www.kinderstampo.com .  I kept the design simple and did not add too many embellishments because I did not want it to be too heavy and not be able to close it up.  So I hope you will enjoy it.

So there you have it, what do you think?  We have 4 sponsors:You must leave a comment on every blog for a chance to win some prizes from PSA Essentials (valued @ $85), a Helmar Zap Dot Gift Set, A Lindy's Stamp Gang Gift Set or a PYMII can of Preserve Your Memories II.  So now on to your next stop which is with the lovely, Jessica Baker: http://jessbippitystamps.blogspot.com/.  I have included the entire line up in case you should get lost.  Thank you once again for stopping by and I hope you have a Great weekend.

Sketchy Wednesday

Good morning and welcome to another Sketchy Wednesday.  For this project we were asked to design something around this sketch:

Sketchy Wednesday 9-21-2011

This was my take on it.  Hope you will like it....

So this past weekend, I attended the CKC Scrapbook Convention in San Marcos, TX  I was teaching the make and take for Bee Creative Booth 410.  I had so much fun!  I had the pleasure of working with these clear tubes and just fell in love with them.  So of course I purchase tons of them.  They are easy to decorate and perfect for group parties.  For the phrases on the tag I used the Vintages Halloween stamp set from KinderStampO.  I Hope that you will join us on this fun sketch.  Don't forget to go and checkout the rest of the wonderful projects, the other members of our DT have created.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you back here next time....;)

Color it Mondays

Good morning, well it's Monday and you know what that means, another "Color it Mondays" Challenge.  This weeks color challenge was wonderful, I loved the soft colors and how they work so well together.  So we were asked to design a project with these colors:

I came across this wonderful Treat Box card and just had to try it, now I can't stop making them.  This card is perfect for gift giving.  I spend a lot of time on YouTube and this is the link to the Great video:  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=20371  by Melanie Schulenberg.  i just fell in love with it!  So here is my card, hope you all enjoy it.

or this card i used some old pattern papers I had, (I'm trying to use up all my supplies before I purchase anymore...)  I did say "Trying".  LOL!!!  For the sentiment, and phrases on background I use the Grungy Inspiration, Friendship, and Vintage Halloween stamp sets.  If you are interested in purchasing any of these sets you can go to KinderStampO.com .  the box part of this card will hold up to five small candy nuggets.  It's perfect for teachers and friends....  Now remember to go and checkout the rest of the Design Teams creations at http://www.kinderstampo.com  .  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Monday.... ;)

1st project for the KinderStampO Design Team - Color It Monday!!!

Good morning!!!  Wow!, I can't believe it is actually here, our first project for our Fabulous Design Team!!!  I have to tell you making this Team, has been a big wish of mine for a long time.  I am so happy and thankful for this opportunity.

So for our first Project, Jess, has asked us to create a project using this color pallet as our inspiration:

Color It Monday 09-12-2011

I love these colors!!!  So here is what I created.  As you know, I make jewelry.  so i decided to use some of the Vintage Charms,  using the color pallet.  I just love the whole vintage feel of these earrings.

And of course, I had to make a card to go with them.  This was a super simple card, I used the paper collection Lemonade from Basic Grey.  Used an embossing folder for the diamond pattern on the coordination paper and several dies to cut the circle and butterfly.  Then just added the ribbon and some blind.  the Sentiments on the front and inside of the card are from the Friendship stamp set from Kindostampo.

So there you have it, don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Team and their wonderful projects as well.  just go to Jess's blog at www.kinderstampo.com .  Well i hope you have enjoyed the projects, and if you are interested in  any of the stamp sets or charms I used just visit www.kinderstampo.com .  Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a Great Manic Monday!!!

Good morning to all of you!  Today is a very Special day, and I have been dying to share this wonderful news with you all!  As you might have figured out by now I am now part of the KinderStampO Design Team!!!!!!  Still doing my HAPPY DANCE!!!!!  When I got the email, inviting me to be a part of this DT!, I about fell off my chair!  I have been so in love with KinderStampO's stamps and Charms and have alway wanted to do more with them.  Now I have that chance. Being that, this is the First DT for KinderStampO, we have a lot to learn and get right, but so far, it's been great, meeting all the other members and learning more about them.  I know that this Team is going to Shine and set the Bar for other Design Teams to come.  So with out further chitt chat, I have put together some projects featuring the KinderStampO products, and a little something for you to get to know me better.  Enjoy! and remember if you are interested in purchasing any of these wonderful stamp sets or charms just go to www.kinderstampo.com .

This first project, I created for my daughter, she is a 22 year olf college student, who can't ever have enough accessories!!....  I used one of KinderStampO's charms from the Vintage Findings.  let me just say, these charms are Wonderful!!!  Love the old feeling and they are durable as well.  Great for embellishments on cards and Layouts.

Here is my daughter wearing her new necklace.... ;)

After finding out I made the Team, I made a card to send to Mrs. Jess.  Simple and fast, took me under 5 minutes to make.
used some papaer from The Old world 4x6 paper stack from DCWV, them I die cut it using a QuicKutz die, I used some Tim Holtz distress ink and added my handmade flower plus a charm from the Vintage Findings from KinderStampO.them some bling a pin and ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Friendship stamp set.

My last project, was way too much fun making!!!  I made this bi-fold card with a scalloped window, I embossed a clear recycled packaging for the front of the card

This little guy here, does something special.....

Yup!!!  He glows in the Dark!!!!

The sentiment is from KinderStampO's New release Stam Set Vintage Halloween.

Live
I am a fulltime mom and have my own jewelry business. I have 4 children; a 22 year old- Destiny, 20- Mario, 12- Ricardo, and an 8 year old - Lourdes (lulu). I live in a very small "city" outside of Round Rock,TX. I have been married for 17 years. I am also a Scrapbook Instructor at our LSS. I run 10+ miles every morning and am also a Beachbody Coach. I do P90X and Insanity to stay fit and healthy. I love scary movies and have a problem with bugs.

Craft
I have been scrapbooking for over 12 years. I started in a hospital room and have just been in love with it since. I do just about anything and everything from painting, drawing, altered projects, home decor, card making and I even crochet. I love to make mini albums and use recycle products in my creations. I like to tell people when they get stuck with a project, to just relax and have fun with it. My style is very Vintage/Chic. I have no rules and love to create "outside" the box. I often lay on the floor in the middle of my craft room, facing the cieling and waiting for ideas to come...hehehe  I never plan my projects, I just start and go with whatever comes to my mind.

Inspire
I am inspired by my children, husband and just everyday events. i love taking pictures of "everything"! I love to teach others what I know and makes me happy. I always say "this is not just a "craft" or a "hobby". What we do here is our way of preserving our past, present and future for our children and future generations. My scrapbooking is my Legacy to my children ... I hope that I will be able to inspire others to enjoy and have fun preserving their families history.

So there you have it, I hope this gives you an idea of who I am and what I hope to accomplish here.
