Lordy, Lordy, Looks Who's 40! Blog Hop April 25th thru May 1st

Good Morning to You!  So Happy you could join us on this Fun and Festive Hop!  First off, I want to Wish Jenn a very Happy Birthday!  Congrats on reaching a wonderful time in your life!  So this is a short but oh sooo SWEET, blog hop.  Lots and Lots of wonderful projects and Birthday Wishes.  So Sit back and enjoy all the wonderful creations.  You should have arrived here from Gill's blog ~ , if you just happen to stop by for a visit then you will want to start at the beginning with Jenn's blog ~

So for my projects I decided to make a card and then something special for Ms. Jenn.  I hope you enjoy both projects.

So for my card I used the follow material:
pattern paper from K&Company
white Doilie
Seam Binding Ribbon
Stamp sets used: The girl's Paperie set and The KinderStampO set Vintage Birthday
Inks used: Versafine Vintage Sepia and Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Sea Glass
For the Inside of the Card:
EK punch badge

For the Hanging Cone I used the following material:
1 sheet of 12x12 pattern paper from K&Company
some crepe paper trim
Prima flower trim
some vintage buttons
small brad
1 vintage whimsy glitter charm from the girl's paperie line
some seam binding ribbon
two vintage flowers and two handmade flowers

So there you have it.  I hope you enjoyed them both.  Don't forget to go back to Jenn's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday.

Now for my Blog Candy, it would not be a Birthday without some gifts.  I am doing a monthly Giveaway for the whole month of April!  There will be Three winners selected at the end of the month.  All you have to do is follow my blog and leave a comment.  That's it!  Please leave an email so that I can reach you, should you be one of the winners.  Good Luck to everyone!  Now on to your next stop with the talented Ms. Anita ~  Thank you so very much for stopping by and for celebrating with us!  Have a Great day!

  2. those are absolutely beautiful! i have an award for you over at my blog :)

  3. Martha,

I like the card, but I really love the Vintage Cone! that timepiece hanging from it brought tears to my eyes, can't really explain why. The whole piece just looks like it came from a bygone era and then the timepiece reminds me that time is passing...sigh...just lovely. I would love to have a tutorial on how to make that. Chriss

  4. The card and hanging cone are both beautiful. I've been making paper hydrangeas and think they would be gorgeous in a paper cone. I'll have to give it a try.
