Make It Messy!!! Joy's Life Stamp DT Challenge #1

Good Morning and thank you so much for joining us on this Super Fun Challenge. First off, I need to let you know how Happy I am to have been chosen to be a part of the DT.  I am still so excited!  So for our first DT Challenge we were asked to create something and make it Messy! , using paints and inks.... This is my kind of creation!!!   I don't follow rules when it comes to creating.  I just go with how I am feeling that day....LOL!!!  So without further chit chat, here is my project.

So here are the simple details on how I made this Banner.  I recycled some of my cereal boxes for the actual banner pennants (Life Style Crafts cutting die)- Nesting Pennants, then I use some Studio G paper pack (Walmart - $ .97)!!! and re cut the pennants for the banner.  I distressed then with some Ranger Distress crackle paint - picket Fence. Then went over it with some tim Holtz Distress Inks - Festive Berries.   I then die cut some snowflakes and used then as the attachments to connect each pennant.  I then cut 1 inch strips of the patten paper to make the rosettes.  Then I stamped the sentiment using the All around Sentiments Stamp set from Joyslife.com.  I punched out the stamped sentiment using an 1 1/2 inch circle punch and the inked the edges and used some stickels to blink it up.  For the Center of each pennant, I die cut some nesting labels from QuicKutz.   Then I took some shiny silver tulle and hot glued it to the back of each label and then cut out the letters, to spell out "JOLLY".  I painted the letters using Adirondack Acrylic paint dabber - Espresso.  Then I use my snow pen to give them a snow effect.  The poinsettia flowers on each end I cut them out using an SVG file from svgcuts.com  .  Then I just embellished each letter with anything I had on hand.  So there you have it!  Easy as one, two, three!!!!  So, if you are interested in the stamp set I used her in this project or in seeing what other stamp sets Joy's Life Stamps has just go to Joyslife.com.  I would also love for you to go and check out all the other Great projects the rest of the DT has created at  http://www.joyslifedt.blogspot.com/
So I wanted to thank all of you with some Blog Candy!!!!  I know this is not a Blog hop but, it is a special post, so I wanted to offer some thing special to one lucky commenter.  All you have to do is share this post and the DT post at http://www.joyslifedt.blogspot.com/ on Facebook.  Spread the word about our new DT and the Great Challenges.  Second become a follower of both my personal blog here and the DT's blog at http://www.joyslifedt.blogspot.com/.  I will check on both.  That's it... and for that you will be rewarded some fun die cuts from The Tim Holtz collection.  Please remember to leave me a way to contact you.  I will pick a winner on Friday, and announce it on my Facebook wall.  So make sure to check my Facebook, you can click the link on the sidebar.  Okay, so again, thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope you have enjoyed this challenge and would love to see some of your creations using any of Joyslife.com stamps.  Have a Great day
