So This is the first time I take part in this Challenge, and I have to tell you it was Fun! While cleaning out my linen closet, I came across an old table cloth, and instead of throwing it out I decided to us it for my project. I cut out a 12x12 piece from the table cloth and used it as my canvas. I cut out the Temple from the Pagoda cartridge and used it as a mask for my canvas. I took the temple cut as used it as a mask and then mist the canvas with two different Glimmer Mist. Then I used several Tim Holtz distressing inks on the edges of the canvas. I then cut out flower 4 and 7 using my Imagine and I used the Music Sheet pattern paper from the Imagine More cartridge for one of the layers of flower 7. I then Cut of the Dragon on page 34 of the Pagoda cartridge. I used The Blackletter cartridge to cut out the 2011 year. U then hot glued everything together, punched two holes and set large gold eyelets and used some sheer black ribbon to tie it together on a branch.
Well, there you have it, I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteMartha,
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous!!! :) What a great idea! You were so creative and clever to use the fabric (& create a mask with the Cricut die cut)!
Thank you so much for sharing,

Lovely celebration of the Chinese New Year! Isn't it remarkable that those who are creative can see magic in what otherwise would have been discarded (like your tablecloth)!? Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Martha! :) I love it!
