Recent Haul and Update.

Good morning to all of you, Thanks for stopping by. I have been away for a while, ( had the FLU) YUK!! I'm feeling alot better now, still dealing with a cough but things are getting back to normal around here. I wanted to share with you what I picked up the other day at several stores. First off, at Target, I found the new Westcott Titanium Multi Purpose Trimmer. In PINK!!! I also purchased some extra blades that were on clearance. Then I went to Michael's where I purchase way too much paper, (no photo of that) but in my own defense, it was on sale for 7 sheets for $1.00, (that makes each sheet about $.14 each!!!) You just can't beat that! I also purchased a stamp set and lots of yummy ribbon, a few sticker sheets, some felt and some $1.00 large silk flowers. Then I went to San Antonio this Saturday and visited one of my favorite stores, Scrapbook 911! Love this place, but some bit of bad news, they lost their lease and are closing!! I was soooo sad! I did manage to purchase lots and lots of Seam binding ribbon in all colors, some Prima leaves, and some other small items. Had so much fun in San Antonio. Met some wonderful ladies (who love to scrapbook!) I will post pick of my visit to San Antonio, later as soon as I download all my pics.

Okay, so now onto some important business, I will be participating in several Blog Hops during the Month of March, so because it can get pretty expensive to have Blog candy for each hop, I have decided to do ONE Super Giveaway for the month of March! Crafting at Archiver's

This weekend, Archiver's had their make and take and you actually got to make Three projects for FREE!! I just love that word! FREE FREE FREE!! So I decided to show up and make my projects. Super Fun and Super easy! They came out great!! I then decided to to travel to Houston and visit the Archiver's there as well and yes, I made three more projects. hehehe

Well I hope you get a chance to go out there and make some fun projects. FYI, I enjoyed myself more at our Austin store, Ladies were much friendlier.

It's My B-Day and I'll Quill If I Want To Blog Hop

There are alot of wonderful projects. So First off I want to wish Linda a Happy Birthday and also thank her for allowing me to be a part of this hop. When I started scrapbooking about 12 years ago, Quilling was one of the first techniques I learned. I loved it, but only really made one layout and then never tried it again. For this hop I brought out all my tools and material and once I started i could not stop!! I also learned a new technique called "Combing", which I totally love! It is so easy and super fun. So for my project I decided to use a technique I learned and have been loving. I made another Step Card. I can't seem to get enough of these. Wow, I still remember the first time I saw my husband, I was walking up a hill to my new apartment, (in 4 inch heels!!), thinking, "Please Dear God don't let me fall"!!! I could feel my heart beating sooo fast!! He was outside with his friends playing basketball! Turned out I had rented the apartment right above his! Too funny, thinking about all the silly things we both did to get each others attention. I would not change a thing, he has turned out to be the Best thing ever! So in honor of my Hubby! My Vintage Valentine Blog Hop

Nicole and meighen's Bloggerverary Bash Blog Hop

First off I want to wish Nicole Meighen a Happy Birthday!! Also I want to thank you both for allowing me to participate in this Awesome Blog Hop!!! So, Wow! I was so excited about this blog hop that I made Three different projects! I had so much fun with all three of them. So enough chit chat, I hope you enjoy them all:

First I made a small 3 layer Cake! I wanted it bigger but my cricut could only cut it as big as my mat. I guess that's okay. So I decorated my cake with some strips of pattern paper and then places pearls all round the cake layers. I then make some quilled flowers and put then on the cake for decoration.

Here is a top view of the cake. I used one of the quilled flowers I made as the top decoration.

The second project I worked on was a Shadow Box card. I saw a video on this technique on UTube and I just had to try it out. I think, I did pretty good for my First try. Any how I really like how this came out. The instructions were kind of difficult so I am coming up with some easier one and will post them on my blog later. For the window part of my card I make a Rosette using my Tim Holtz die, which by the way I love! Makes, making these babies so much easier and faster. I then cut out a banner for the Happy Haunting cart and stamped a sentiment using the Pink by Design Spanish stamp set. Which I love!!!!

Here is a side view so you can see the "window" effect. I really like this card and think I will be making more.

Now for my Last project. i made a Birthday banner to Hang on your wall!! This was my very first Banner!!! I have to tell you I am hooked! I love the way it turned out! It was just too much fun making this one! I use the banner from Tie the Knot cart and for the font I use the Storybook cart. I also use my Tim Holtz Rosette Die to make the centers for my banner.
